Welcome to week four of the Bookends Summer Staycation, we can’t believe that it’s August already! This week we’ve asked our lovely authors, where do you see your main character from your most recent book jetting off to this summer?

Jill Mansell, author of AND NOW YOU’RE BACK

OK, Didi in And Now You’re Back runs a hotel in the Cotswolds, but she has a particular soft spot for Venice in the snow so I think she might love to go back there when it’s warmer…but not too hot, because that’s when the canals can get a bit smelly!

Oh, Holly would definitely go back to Seville once she’s allowed to do so. I think Ella would stay at home with Felix on this occasion.

Well, The Stranding is a book of two halfs, the Before and the After. Ruth from Before is desperate to go to New Zealand, so she’d probably choose there. But Ruth from After, in New Zealand, would love to get home, so England?

I think my characters Effie, Anna and Lizzie might go back to another idyllic, sun-drenched villa in the south of France – their holiday in The Wedding Night is far from relaxing… Second time lucky!
