Emerald Street announced the line up for their star-studded literary festival on Friday and oh my is the 11th of June going to be a a glorious day of wordy, bookish love.
First up at 2.10 pm, the much beloved author and Telegraph columnist, Bryony Gordon will join Amy Liptrot to talk about their memoirs on their respective battles with mental illness and alcoholism. Both MAD GIRL and THE OUTRUN deal with difficult topics with carefully measured doses of candid poignancy and warm humour, and this event promises to be truly memorable.
At 5 pm, the bestselling Maggie O’Farrell will be taking centre stage to talk about her writing and to read from her beautifully crafted seventh novel THIS MUST BE THE PLACE. Following protagonist Daniel as he delves back into his past, where a torturous secret lurks, threatening to jeopardise the life he has built with a beautiful and enigmatic ex-film star, this novel is set to take the charts by storm.
With other guests including Jessie Burton and the finalists of the Baileys Prize, this is an unmissable event. It all takes place on the 11th of June at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington, London and tickets are available here.
