Bookends go Plastic Free

Inspired by World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, Team Bookends reveal all the little changes their making that will make a big difference.

Hannah

I’m trying to be more eco-savvy by always taking a reusable tote to Sainsburys – I’m finally getting really good at remembering, and it’s a great use for my many many publishing totes! I also always pick veg without plastic where possible, but still get annoyed when things like cucumber are inexplicably coated in plastic!

Helena

You can ALWAYS rely on me to have a tote bag in my handbag, I try not to buy plastic bags and will fill my handbag and/or tote to the brim with my shopping before picking up another plastic bag. I’ve also been doing a lot of research into reusable coffee cups, I’m a big fan of my morning coffee and will be getting myself a snazzy eco-friendly cup ASAP.

Amy

I’ll be trading in the disposable, non-recyclable cup which comes with my morning coffee for a more eco-friendly option! Reusable cups are accepted in most coffee chains (sometimes even with a cheeky discount to reward your eco-savvy) – and I still get my much-needed caffeine hit either way… a simple change that does good for the planet!
