Book: Because I could never choose a grown-up book, I’m going with Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak.  I think this little story is perfect. It reads like poetry.

Film: The Sound of Music.

Food: Either a combination of flavours I’ve never encountered, or a perfect specimen of something very simple.

Drink: Champagne.

Place: The porch on my house in Maine, or down on the rocky shore.

Season: Fall.

TV Programme: I’m always too busy reading.

Song: Anything that makes me feel too much to describe.

Possession: My family-inherited Oriental rugs.

Item of Clothing: Black pants.

Colour: Hot Pink.

Flower: Alstroemeria.

Perfume: 4711.

Way to spend the day: Cooking an over-the-top-meal or exploring a new city.
