This book is great for those days when the sheer volume of teaching resources online gets too overwhelming. There are a range of simple and creative ideas for classroom activities, which educators can easily sieve through, and adapt for children in their own classes. For teachers who are new to teaching Religious Education, this book also offers some helpful ways to introduce faith and belief into the classroom, and start to implement a locally agreed RE syllabus.
As with the other titles in the series 101 Inclusive & SEN Citizenship, PSHE & Religious Education Lessons provide a fantastically clear, simple and practical resource that can be used by teachers in all settings. Whilst there are specific learning objectives for each activity, the implicit focus of them all is on the development of self-concept and mental wellbeing. That the book covers these vital areas with activities that are fun and engaging is testament to the extensive practical experience Claire and Kate have in walking the talk.

What a great resource for a busy teacher! I have always found PSHE and RE sessions tricky within a special setting, but this book helps with the different aspects of these subjects and makes it work for children with SEND. The layout makes it easy to flick through the book to find ideas or activities that you are looking for.
This book includes aspects of mindfulness and wellbeing which is so important for my class and the inclusion of gongs etc. is something I hadn't thought of before!
